AMATE HOUSE: MAKING A LIFETIME OF DIFFERENCE
 
 
When you give to Amate House, you are not just supporting a Volunteer. You are also supporting the 200 people that Volunteer serves throughout his or her Volunteer year. You are also forming that Volunteer for a lifetime of service and making a difference in the world. Here is how you can help:

IN HONOR OF A LOVED ONE
Did you know that you can designate a donation ‘In Honor of’ a friend or relative? Donations have been made In Honor of weddings, birthdays and current and former Volunteers. Amate House keeps these individuals in our prayers. Names also appear in Amate House newsletters with an invitation for the entire Amate House community to pray for these individuals. Provide us with contact information and we will notify the designee of your gift, or you can choose to honor anonymously.
IN MEMORY OF A LOVED ONE
You can also designate a donation ‘In Memory of’ a deceased friend or loved one. Remembrance cards will be provided for you to notify the bereaved of your gift. Or you can choose to make your gift anonymously. Those remembered will be written in our prayer book and prayed for by the current Volunteers. Names also appear in Amate House newsletters with an invitation for the entire Amate House community to pray for these individuals.
IN KIND
Cleaning house? Moving? Have a few “extras” lying around? Amate House is always in need of household items. (In Kind donations are tax-deductible at a value for the item that you determine!)

MATCHING GIFT
Find out if your employer participates in a matching gift program. This means that they will match some or all of your contribution, and you have the potential to double or triple your contribution to Amate House.

You can leave a legacy by including Amate House in your will.
AMATE MAGIC

Join us at our annual gala event where we honor our Volunteers, Alumni, Donors and noteworthy Chicago Catholics. The evening features an open bar, silent auction, dinner and dancing. Amate Magic occurs the first Friday in May in the exquisite Grand Ballroom at downtown Chicago’s Navy Pier. Bring friends! If you are interested in volunteering time or resources (serving on the Amate Magic Committee, asking your business to sponsor the dinner, or soliciting an item for the silent auction, etc.) please contact Chris Wagar.
