Amate Magic Auctions
Silent Auction

Each year our auction, held in the gorgeous Lakeview Terrace at Navy Pier, features over 100 elegant items of all types. Tickets to Chicago sporting events and sporting items autographed by Chicago greats, Radio Flyer children’s items, chic dinnerware and furniture produced by the Amate House Volunteers and the sites where they work, Chicagoland overnight packages, entertainment packages and household decorating items highlight the silent auction.

Super Silent Auction

Occasionally, Amate House reserves 25 special “super silent” items to be offered during the silent auction, and reopened for bidding during dinner in Navy Pier’s Grand Ballroom. In 2009 these items included: a mountain bike, Chicago overnight packages, Chicago Bears tickets and Chicago Cubs tickets.

Live Auction

In 2009 the live auction offered incredible experiences to Amate Magic guests: a Notre Dame game/New Buffalo overnight package for 6, weeklong stays at mansion homes in Ireland and Costa Rica, an 'insider tour' of Notre Dame, and Billy Joel and Elton John concert tickets. In addition, a special ‘Sponsor a Volunteer’ auction garnered support for one entire Amate House Volunteer for one year in 2009.
